No life never grows great until it is focused, dedicated and disciplined.
Prov 3:1-6
My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. NASU
Samuel Johnson, a British Author had this to say of the purpose of Focus in our lives, “When a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.” There are some that have had the experience of a sudden and immediate focus applied to their lives and it has been life changing for them. It may have been a close call, or the close call of someone around them that made them stop and reevaluate their lives, and scrutinize the use of their time.
God will sometimes give us spiritual eye tests. He will place a chart on the wall of our lives and test our spiritual ability to navigate our life’s path. If He sees our focus drifting He will allow something in the life of His children to refocus and regain their attention. Feel God’s love and disappointment in Israel as He said to them in Isa 48:18, “If only you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your well-being would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
God suggested to you and I, ways to keep life and truth from leaving us. He calls for us bind His Truth and Word, around our necks, for it will save our heads. God then tells us to write them on the tablet of our heart. Notice there is only one tablet, not tablets, and notice that what is to be written there must always acknowledge Him as the owner and protector of your heart and life. When we make God the focus and center of our lives, we will find that His Favor will follow us wherever we may go…God Bless.
