Influence
Everyone comes between men's souls and God, either as a brick wall or as a bridge. Either you are leading men to God or you are driving them away.
Canon Lindsay Dewar
Rom 14:12-13
So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this -- not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way.
NASU
We are either a part of the problem or a part of the plan, but we are always involved in this process whether we want to be or not. One of the most telling statements of this process is the presence, or lack thereof of men in Church. Men were designed to be leaders in the spiritual growth of our children and families, but they are missing in the numbers necessary for a healthy church.
We won’t take all the blame though; the fact is that all of us, male or female, in or out of church are leaving an impression on those who see us daily. There are those that think they can live life in their own design, and avoid involvement, or blame it on the condition of society. But the fact is that we all have a part in this world’s present condition to some degree. They way we live and act is being watched by someone and we are leaving an impression.
A great testimony to this is the story of a man who came home from hunting on Sunday morning and prepared to go to bed as his wife dressed the kids. As mom was getting the children ready for church, he heard one say, why do I have to go to church, but daddy doesn’t? The father quickly got up and went on to church. Why, in today’s world do so many think that they can march to their own drum without consequences? They are so sadly prideful, ignorant, and mistaken…God Bless.
