My nature is subdued to what it works in, like the dyer's hand.

Gal 4:8-9
However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again? NASU
The same vices and the same follies have been the fruit of all ages, though sometimes under different names, said Lady Mary Montagu. I have heard it said many times, of certain persons that they were “good” people. I also hear the words of Jesus when He clearly speaks that the only “Good One” is The Father. I know what people are saying when the say that of someone, but the truth is if that person has that reputation, it means they have done a better job of conquering their nature.
It can be conquered, or held in check, but only if it is totally subdued in the Word of God. Our souls are what we saturate them with, and if that is ourselves, then it is not very pretty. George Bernard Shaw said this of the human nature, “There is nothing that can be changed more completely than human nature when the job is taken in hand early enough.” Now I think that is true, don’t you, I have heard many testimonies of the influence of Godly Fathers, Mothers and teachers.
So what are you soaking in today, what is coloring you life? Is it vivid and does it express the wonderful Glory of God? If it isn’t pleasant then find out why. It is the dark dregs of sin, and our own human nature that steals the beautiful colors from our life in which God wishes us to be seen in. The rainbow of hope given as a promise to Moses is yours, and you can find that “Pot of Gold” in God’s Word…God Bless.
Pastor William
