Alone With God

The strong man is strongest when alone.

Johann Friedrich Von Schiller, 1759-1805, German Dramatist, Poet, Historian

John 16:32-33
32 "Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." NASU

Jesus really did show us the secret of successful living that will get us to the other shore. He showed us how to maintain our course, and direction in this world. Jesus says to us in John 8:29 "And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him." Jesus also showed us one of the secrets of His success, and that was constant periods of being alone with His Father.

There are many compasses in this world, but only one accurate one, and that is God’s Word, and it is a place we can go alone to get our daily divine instruction. The world has many North’s, but God has the only one true direction to guide us through this life. The compass that the world uses constantly changes with their desires and wishes and will lead you into confusion, and away from peace.

The strongest man or woman in this world will find their greatest strength whenever they are alone with Jesus. Seeking God daily in His Word will equip us to do the things that are pleasing to Him. Jesus also recommends this practice and give us a great promise, a promise of internal peace. There may be tribulation around you, but in Christ, you will find rest for your soul, for He has overcome the world…God Bless.
