The weak shall inherit the earth, but not the mineral rights.

Eph 5:5-7
For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; NASU
Let us be assured that we own nothing on this earth. When we understand that then we can better understand the words of the Prophet John, when he said in John 3:27 “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” It is a common thing for men to be focused on this earth and the things in it and it is alright to own things here, as long as we remember this is all “temporary.”
Impureness and covetousness, and idolatry, begins with desire, and we already know what unbridled desire can do to someone, don’t we? God really wants us to have things, but God does not want those things to have us. We are to maintain a proper perspective on this temporary situation in which we walk and live. What is it that you and I are to be careful of? It is anything that begins to direct our life besides God alone.
God warns us of the wrath to come on someone that has their attention misdirected from their walk with Him. God says that we can become “sons of” or to understand it better, “inheritors of disobedience.” This makes it all the more important for you and me to use what God has given us, “from heaven,” to store up treasures there for the Glory of God, and our real life, which is still to come…God Bless.
Pastor William
